Also, when you register with us, your domain is automatically parked on our servers. So when your ready for a web site, we will simply have to set up your site on our servers and your domain will already be propagated.

How long is the domain registration process?
The process takes approximately 5 to 8 minutes to complete once all required information is submitted.

To transfer an existing domain name, the process can take anywhere from 1-3 days depending on the original registrar the domain name is currently registered with.

What information is required to register a new domain name if IdealHost registers it for me?
IdealHOST will need the following information submitted to complete the registration for a new domain name:

• Requested domain name
• Contact information for owner, admin contact, technical contact, and billing contact (this includes persons name, physical and email address, and phone number)
• Length of time requested for registration (1, 2, 5, or 10 years) 

• Current domain name
• Current contact info for owner, admin, technical and billing contact. (the owner and admin contact information that is currently listed with the original registrar must be used for the transfer, and then can be updated once the transfer goes through). 

What is a Registrar?
A Registrar is an entity (i.e. IdealRegister.com) that registers domain names in the registries on behalf of registrants (i.e. domain name holders).
